Many students want to go to the UK but they are afraid of fake agents lest they get cheated and our money is wasted. So what should we do in such a situation? How to go to the UK? you will be told how and when those students who want to go to the UK and study, be it Masters or Bachelors, can apply for any degree and how to create their profile sitting at home without any agent.
First of all, let me tell you after which degree you can apply to the UK and what will be your study duration. If you apply to the UK after matriculation, you will have to do a one-year foundation course which is equivalent to two years of bachelors in Pakistan. But if you want to apply immediately after matriculation, then for this your marks should be at least 60 percent and you will have to give an English language test. According to the university, if IELTS is required, then you will give IELTS, otherwise PTE is also an English test, which is relatively easier than IELTS.
Now keep in mind that if you apply only for foundation, then you will have to come back after a year. After that, you will have to apply again for bachelors. But the best solution is that you apply from Pakistan itself, as you have to do your bachelors degree there. One year of health insurance is necessary for foundation, while those who apply for bachelors will get four years of health insurance. And after that you can continue your education further. For example, in the UK, bachelors are of three years and after that you can apply for masters.
Another important thing is that if you do not want to do masters, there is a 2-year post-studies work permit, which you will apply for and you must take it because every student gets it after every bachelors. This means that you will do a one-year foundation after matriculation, then do bachelors and after that you will get a post-studies work permit.
But students who want to go to the UK after inter (FA, FSC or ICS), they will not do foundation but will apply directly for bachelors. Their bachelors will also be of three years, but their marks should also be at least 60%. Some universities in the UK give admission at 60% and some at 70%, meaning different universities have different requirements.
A good step is that if your marks are 70%, then UK universities give you a 10% scholarship on one year’s fees. In some universities, if your marks are 80%, then 20% scholarship, and if your marks are 85%, then 30% scholarship is also available. And if you have done your bachelors from Pakistan, you can apply for masters and their masters will be of one year. There is a good chance that if you do a one-year degree, you will also get a 2-year post-work permit.
First, you need to choose a university according to your academic marks where you can apply. After that, you will need to take a language test class. IELTS or PTE, whichever is required by the university.
You will need some documents to fill the application form:
- Your passport
- Reference letters from two teachers
- All your educational documents, beyond matriculation
- If there is a gap in your education (for example, you completed your degree in 2018 but joined in 2021), then an experience letter from 2018 to 2020 is also required to prove that you were working during that period.
- English Language Test Result
- Your CV
After filling the application, the university will issue you a conditional offer letter, which will have various conditions such as if you did not provide an English test, they will ask you to provide an English test. If any documents are missing, they will also ask you to provide them. As soon as you complete their conditions, you will get a uniconditional offer letter without these conditions.
After this:
- You have to submit all the documents and some universities conduct formal interviews.
- After paying the fee, your bank statement process starts. Apart from the fee, your bank should have the remaining fee and one year of living expenses.
- The bank statement must be matured for 28 days, then you can apply for a visa.
- You will also have to take a TB test.
- After filing your visa, you will need clearance from the university, after which you will apply for your visa by visiting the UKVI Home Office website and paying the health insurance fee.
- The visa application fee will be £490, and you will go to VFS (Verification Service), where you will submit your documents and passport and have your photo taken.
- You will then return home and wait for the visa decision. In the meantime, you will keep checking your emails to keep up to date with the status of your visa.
This was the entire process through which you can create your own profile to continue your studies in the UK
